Slightly disappointed that the article didn’t appear on Monday, but overjoyed to see it today. A really good article, with some great photos. Here is the link to York Press
The article is coming out on Monday 17th March in The Press. Don’t miss it!
This was quite a different experience from the live radio interview on my mobile phone! Matt is a professional journalist and photographer for York Press and he asked some searching questions. I am looking forward to a two-page spread in the York Press in a week or two – this should really help to spread my story.
Really enjoyed being interviewed by Radio Wey yesterday morning while I was signing copies of my book in Costa’s coffee shop in York. Hope the story touched the hearts of hospital listeners in the Chertsey area of Surrey.

I was reminded by someone who bought my book that it refers to a Nepalese charity called The Esther Benjamins Trust started by Philip Holmes. I never actually met Philip but was impressed with the work of the charity. So I contacted them and now have an invitation to their upcoming open day 22 March at Castle Howard, which happens to be very near to where I now live in York!
Here I am autographing a book for an attender at the dinner. I was fortunate to be seated next to the deputy Ambassador and we had a great chat.
I have just sent off book number 101 to my brother in Somerset! I have left 10 copies with Kishan, proprietor of The Yak and Yeti Gurkha Restaurant at 63a Goodramgate, York. The food is authentic, tasty and reasonably priced.
I will be attending the annual Britain Nepal Society Dinner on 20th February and signing copies of my book. It will be a wonderful evening I am sure, and I will be joined by my partner Adrienne.
